Lorraine H Aragon

Aragon, Lorraine H. Age 77, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her home in Socorro, NM. She was born in Hillsboro, NM on April 15, 1936, to Vicente and Clorinda Duran Hidalgo. Lorraine grew up in Southwestern New Mexico and came to Socorro in 1979. She enjoyed dancing and loved to quilt. Lorraine made many pieces for both her family and her friends alike. She was preceded in death by her father, Vicente P. Hidalgo; husband, Bennie Aragon; daughter, Connie H. Lopez; and sister, Norma Jean Hidalgo. Lorraine is survived by daughters, Helen Lopez and companion, L. J. Nelson and Patricia Padilla, both of Socorro, NM; mother, Clorinda Hidalgo of Tucson, AZ; sons, Frank Lopez of Tucson and Vincent Lopez and wife, Judy of Cortez, CO; step daughter, Rosie Aragon of Socorro; brothers, Richard Hidalgo and wife, Dorothy of Tucson and James Hidalgo and wife, Beverly of Henderson, NV; her companion, Frank Trujillo from Los Lunas, NM; eight grandchildren; one step granddaughter and her husband; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; four sister-in-laws, Jean Matthews and husband, Jack, Vivian Armijo and husband, Chamba, Eufemia Montoya and husband, Larry, and Lucy Cano; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 8:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro with the Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated immediately following at 9:00 am. Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant . Burial will take place at the Hillsboro, NM cemetery on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Pallbearers are Frank Lopez, Vincent Lopez Sr., Vincent Lopez Jr., Nicholas Lopez, Jose Ochoa, Guillermo Ochoa and Raymond Rosales.
