Lorraine Frances Jones

Jones, Lorraine Frances Lorraine Jones (Koenig) Age 86, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband Marion Jones of 58 years and their five children; son Mark, his wife Rikia and their three children Taylor, Zachary and Shelby of Bosque Farms, New Mexico; daughter Susan, her husband Lawrence and their children Doug and Jessica, of Aurora, Colorado; son Tom, of Westminster, Colorado; son David and his wife Amy, of Mesa, Arizona and son Paul, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on September 25, 1926, Lorraine attended nursing school, and moved to the southwest. She met Marion at the NCO club at Sandia Base in Albuquerque while he was serving in the Army and she was working at the VA Hospital. After their marriage, they lived in Monterey, CA, Lawton, OK, and Hobbs, NM before settling in Albuquerque, NM for most of their children�s formative years. They purchased a summer home in Durango, Colorado, where they spent many cherished family vacations before moving there permanently in 1981. She worked at the former Community Hospital after they moved to Durango until retirement. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Leo Bertrand Koenig and Rose (Pier); her bothers Donald and Raymond; and Sister Gertrude. Arrangements for a private memorial service are pending.
