Lou Gonzales

Lou (Romero) Gonzales was embraced by our Lord Jesus on June 9, 2019 and taken to heavenly home after a long battle with cancer.  Lou was born in Santa Rita, New Mexico on November 16, 1932 to Prospero and Leonor Romero. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Marcos J. Gonzales, grandson Raymond J. Lara, sister Benita Sanchez, brothers Higinio, Cleto, David and Frankie Romero. Lou is survived by her children Geneva Sanchez (David), Robert Gonzales (Barbara), Andy Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Marcos (Mabel) Gonzales Jr,  Sylvia Pineda (Leopoldo), Arthur Gonzales (Lupe) and Joey Gonzales (Chuck), sister Sylvia Mascarena, brother Gabriel Romero, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 8:30 A.M. followed by a mass at 9:00 A.M. with Father Anasiudu presiding at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, New Mexico. A special thank you to Lupe Gonzales, Arthur Gonzales, Andy Gonzales and Shailyn Chavez for taking care of our beloved mother and grandmother. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all relatives and friends who were so kind and supportive during this time.  Your kindness will always be remembered. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro .  Celebrant Rev. John Anasiudu.  Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery  following service. Pallbearers will be her sons Robert, Andy, Michael, Marcos Jr., Arthur and Joey Gonzales.  Honorary pallbearers are her daughters, Geneva Sanchez, Sylvia Pineda, Lupe Gonzales, and grandchildren.
