May 11, 1930 ~ February 18, 2016

Age 85, was taken home on February 18, 2016 to be with our Heavenly Father. As he wished, he passed peacefully at home surrounded by his caring wife of 65 years, Viola, his children and grandchildren.  


As a youth, he served as an altar boy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He also volunteered and served as an usher at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Albuquerque.

Louie was employed with Sandia National Laboratories as an electronic technician, with 40 years of service.

Not only was he a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, father in-law, brother in-law, and uncle, he was most especially a wonderful "grampy" to his grandchildren Desiree, Dominic, and Vicente Martinez, Elizabeth Silva, Brianna and Brittany Armijo, Richard, Andrew, and Alyssa Quintana, as well as his great grandchildren, Marcos, Lilliana, Elijah, Isai, Josiah, and Amaya.


Louie is preceded in death by his parents Trevinio and Sarah Armijo; brother Orlando Armijo; and son Louie Armijo Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Viola; children; Anthony Armijo, Bernadette Martinez, boyfriend Steve Baca, Chris Armijo, Karen and husband Richard Quintana brother Richard Armijo and wife Helen.  


A celebration of Louie's life, will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, with a viewing at 10:00 am; mass at 11:00, Carlisle Chapel. Christian burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edith and Menaul.
