Louie L. Saiz

Saiz, Louie L. Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the age of 82. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. Louie dedicated over 34 years to the City of Albuquerque Water Department. He was a wonderful husband and father who adored his family and loved spending time with them. He would stop whatever he was doing to help others and he enjoyed watching old westerns and sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Monica; siblings, Charleston Saiz, Francis Estrada and Gloria Blair. Louie is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Virginia; children, Barbara Pohl and husband Amadeo, Lucy Herrera and husband Steve, Ruth Wintermute and fiance Michael Lovato, Louie B. Saiz and wife Annette and Manuel E. Saiz and wife Anita; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Gillie Saiz and wife Isabel, Paul Saiz and wife Josie, Charlie Saiz and wife Della Dema; sisters, Lillie Robles and husband Oscar, Dora Lujan and husband Ted, Mary Quintana, Sara Jane Sanchez, Elsie Crawford and numerous extended family and friends. A Visitation will take place at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Mildred Ave and 4th NW, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will also be celebrated at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:00 am; Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers are Dr. Richard Wintermute, Jesse Wintermute, Manuel Saiz, Anthony J. Saiz, Louie B. Saiz Jr. and Daniel S. Romero. Honorary Bearers are Marcos and David Ibarras. Louie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
