It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Louis Elbert Hubbard Jr., who departed this life on April 13, 2025, at the age of 69. Known affectionately as Lou, he passed peacefully in his sleep, bringing an end to his long and courageous battle with health challenges.
Born on October 3, 1955, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Louis and Doris Hubbard, Lou was a bright and determined young man. After graduating from high school, he earned an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1975, with hopes of becoming an astronaut. However, a health diagnosis forced him to set aside that dream. From that disappointment, though, a new path emerged, one that became his true calling.
Lou dedicated over 45 years of his life to Chiropractic care in New Mexico. His intuitive gift for healing and his deep compassion for others defined his work and touched countless lives. His patients were more than just patients, they were his mission.
Despite facing numerous personal health battles, Lou remained a pillar of strength, perseverance, and humor. His resilience and wit were hallmarks of the man we all loved so dearly.
Lou is survived by his children Danae, Dustin, and Kaleigh and his cherished grandchildren, Kaiden, Tyler, Ethan, and Ashland, who lovingly knew him as "Pappa." His legacy lives on in each of them, and in all the lives he so profoundly impacted. We love you Dad!
A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at Daniels Family Funerals at 7601 Wyoming Blvd. Albuquerque, NM 87109 on Friday, May 2nd at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Donate Life NM in his name, to give another the opportunity to live, love, and learn as Lou did with his own gift of life.
