Grandchildren: Louis, Benjamin, Ryan, Grace Dedicated husband and father. Married to his wife Edith for nearly 60 years. Started work at Sunshine Biscuit bakery as a Boiler Man in the late 1930��?�s. Enlisted in the US. Army in 1942 and participated in the Normandy D-Day Invasion in 1944. He was injured in northern France while scouting in advance of his troop and received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Discharged in 1945 and returned to New York City where he resumed working for Sunshine Biscuit. He met his future wife Edith in 1950 at Roseland Dance Hall and they were married on September 7th, 1952. Their first son Louis was born in 1954 and their second son Michael was born in 1956. In 1962 they moved to Los Angeles where he was employed as an aerospace worker working on the first nuclear reactor sent into space, the Apollo command Modules that went to the moon, and on many commercial jets such as the Lockheed L-1011. He later worked until his retirement on cutting edge cooling systems for Nuclear reactors. He retired from Rockwell in 1987 and later moved to Rio Rancho in 1994. He spent his retirement years with Edith traveling and visiting his grandchildren. He lived a long, fruitful and very happy life. We will miss him dearly. He had a great love for animals and his three dogs, Daisy, Ping Pong and King. In light of this we request that donations in his name be made in lieu of flowers to the American Humane Society.
