Louise Elizabeth Wadley, 89, passed away on February 7th, 2016. She was born on November 22, 1926 to Elmer and Winnie Shupe in Alamosa Colorado and was raised in Taos, New Mexico.
Louise met her husband Richard Wadley when he moved to Taos in 1945 after his service in World War II. They were married, after a two month courtship, for 61 years until Richard’s passing in 2007. Their daughter Janet was born in Taos. They moved to Denver Colorado in 1948 where Richard Jr. (Rick), Patti and Steven were born. In 1960 the family moved to Albuquerque. Louise (Gaga) was a doting mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took good care of her parents as they lived next door in the last years of their lives.
In 1974 Louise became the first woman Allstate agent in New Mexico. She worked hard on behalf of her customers. She was very proud of her high customer retention rate.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wadley; sisters, Helen, Evelyn and Ethel Jean; her daughter, Janet Faye Miller; granddaughter, Stacey Wadley. She is survived by her brother, Howard Shupe and his wife Thelma of Sedona Arizona; son, Richard Wadley Jr. and wife Leslie of Albuquerque, daughter, Patti Norris and her husband Edward of Albuquerque, son, Steven Wadley and wife Jennifer of Pagosa Springs CO; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
