Lucia (Pita) Lucero

Guadalupe Lucia DeTavis-Lucero (Pita) 90, passed away on December 15, 2017. She was an Albuquerque resident since November 1985. Pita was born on January 5, 1927 in Las Vegas, NM. The daughter of Antonio and Emilia DeTavis. Pita is survived by her husband of 70 years, Mariano Lucero (Buddy). Pita was a loving mother, raising her four sons, Gene and wife Bertha of Albuquerque, Gerald and wife Monica of Santa Fe, NM, Mariano (Buddy Jr.) and wife Sue of River Falls WI and Donald of Albuquerque NM. She is also survived by sisters, Marie and Jane; five grandchildren, Adele, Joey, Delanie, Rosanna, and Matthew; close and special nieces include: Barbara, Peggy, Martha, and Carla; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. We will all miss her laughter and loving and caring ways which she shared with everyone she met.
