Age 97, passed away at his home in Albuquerque surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
He was born February 1, 1920 in Turley, NM to Benito Archuleta and Abelina Chavez. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Virginia (nee Salazar) Archuleta; sons Alfred Gomez and Eddie Archuleta; Grandchildren Patricia Marsh, Sheena Archuleta and Elijah Gallegos. He is survived by his children Vemba Martinez, John Gomez, Leonard (Sue) Archuleta, Cecilia (Bernie) Prince, Steven (Christy) Archuleta, Margarete (Steven) Salazar and his brother Paul Archuleta. He has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at  Daniels Family Funeral Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque. Rosary to follow. Mass will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque. A reception to follow immediately at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel.
