Lucille Cole

Cole, Lucille a long-time resident of Rio Rancho, died in Albuquerque on Monday, December 31, 2012. She was born on June 23, 1923, at Mammoth Cave, KY, to Grover and Minnie Campbell. Lucille moved to Louisville as a teenager and there, met and married her husband of 47 years, John Cole. She loved the ocean, traveling, bowling, square dancing, and playing bridge. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, John, and her sister, Edna Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Heil, and her husband, Bill; Pamela Groghan-Jaramillo, and her husband, Frank; and Vivian Laws; grandchildren, Michael Laws, Jennifer Heil, and Juliette Barnett; great grandchildren, Alicia Laws, Sophia Head, Nikolus Ortega, Taytum Ortega, and Delany Ortega. Lucille is also survived by her partner of 13 years, Earl Fleming. Her family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers at Tender Heart Assisted Living and Hospice de La Luz.
