Lucille Maxine Hennigh

Hennigh, Lucille Maxine 
Age 97, passed away at home with family, Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was born in Basin, MT on August 8, 1923, to Frank and Helen David. Lucille attended Rutheron Elementary and graduated in 1939. She entered into union with Charles M. Hennigh on March 20, 1940 in Rutheron, New Mexico. Charles and Lucille shared five children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren over the course of 53 years of marriage together. 

She retired from a Continental Telephone Company of the West after 25 years of employment. Lucille would take any opportunity to socialize and visit with family. She loved having company. The Family Reunion in Rio Blanco Valley, CO was her favorite time of the year. She planned and looked forward to it all year long. She also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, fishing, gardening and being among wildlife; she was a huge animal lover. 

Lucille was preceded in death by her Spouse, Charles M. Hennigh, father, Frank David, mother, Helen David, father-in-law, Roy Hennigh, mother-in-law, Gracie Hennigh, daughter, Helen Dowdy, son-in-law, Montie Dowdy, son, Leslie Hennigh, brother, Roy David. Lucille is survived by son, Lonnie Hennigh of Rio Rancho, NM, daughter-in-law, Veronica Hennigh, son, Herb Hennigh, daughter-in-law, Kathy Hennigh, son, Wendell Wade Hennigh, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial will be held 4 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Family Cabin, 196 Morning Rain Court County Rd 335 - Lower Blanco River Valley in Pagosa Springs CO. A Graveside Service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe.  
   
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the R&G Hennigh Heirs family reunion. The family would like to issue a special thanks to Advanced Home Health and Hospice Care. Also, a special thanks to Veronica Hennigh for helping to care for Lucille.
