Lucy Cardenas

CARDENAS - Lucy M. Cardenas, beloved mother and sister, completed her journey on this earth and joined her husband in Eternal Life with the Lord, Saturday, March 5, 2011. Lucy was a life long resident of Albuquerque and was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Cardenas; her parents, Jose and Sophia Maldonado; and a brother, Joe Maldonado, Jr. Lucy is survived by her loving children, Delbert and Judy Cardenas; her sister, Tillie Orona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. 8:30 a.m. also at Daniels - Alameda Mortuary. Service of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Larry Orona, Toby Orona, Rudy Maldonado, George Maldonado, Mike Montoya, and Raymond Montoya.
