Lucy Martinez

Martinez, Lucy went home to be with her Lord Savior Wednesday, June 11, 2014. She was born in Maxwell, NM on October 7, 1927. Lucy was an amazing woman, who loved her family, loved life and ended well. She will be missed by her large loving family and friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Julian C. Martinez; sons, John, Zenon and Robert and daughter, Guadalupe. Lucy is survived by her children, Teddy and Jodi Baca of Algodones, Oliver and Erin of Oklahoma, Edith Serna of Albuquerque, Connie and Larry Nieto of Albuquerque, Shirley and David Dodge of Albuquerque, Mary Ayala of Albuquerque, Antonio (Joaquin Martinez) of Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Ray Lucero of Albuquerque.Our mom will be missed everyday but we know we will see her again. Vaya con dios, mama. We Love you. Visitation will be held from 7:30-8:00a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 a.m. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Teddy Baca, Enrique Baca, Julian Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Richard Ayala and Carlos Trujillo with honorary pallbearers Alejandro Baca, Mark Atencio and Larry Nieto.
