Luigi "Louis" Giaquinto

Luigi "Louis" Giaquinto, age 94, passed away at his home in Rio Rancho, NM on May 31, 2021.  Louis was born on April 26, 1927 into a large Italian family in New York.  He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Anna and Antoinette; and 2 brothers: Albert and Jimmy.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Norma Giaquinto of Rio Rancho, NM; 2 siblings: Joe and Rita; 4 daughters: Alberta (Bill), Louise, Norma (Jack), and Frances (Eugene); 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Louis served honorably in the Army during WWII.  He retired in 1989 having worked as a US Postal Carrier in New York.  His retirement years were spent in Rio Rancho where he enjoyed having an early morning coffee and cake, watching a good western, and trying his luck at the casino and horse racing.  His personality, presence, and wisecrack humor brought laughter to those around him. He will be sorely missed by all.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Final viewing will be on Tuesday, June 8th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
