Luis M. Torrez

TORREZ- Luis M. Torrez, age 81, beloved father, grandfather and brother, was called to Eternal Life by the Lord, Saturday, April 18, 2009, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 20, 1927 in Chilili, NM, and was a resident of Los Duranes, where he was a member of San Jose de Los Duranes Mission. Mr. Torrez enjoyed fishing, hunting, and singing to Saturday morning Spanish music. He will be fondly remembered as a man with strong family values. He was preceded in death by his wife Marian Torrez. Mr. Torrez is survived by his loving children, Mike Torrez, Gilbert Torres, Sandra Sanchez, Ronnie Torres, Debra Valles, Jack Torrez, Karl Torrez, Karen Torrez, Martha Torrez, Linda Torrez-Barela, Luis M. Torrez, Jr., Martin Torrez and Georgette Gurule; 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister; four brothers; and other numerous relatives and friends. Luis will be greatly missed by all. Pallbearers will be Mr. Torrez's sons, Mike, Gilbert, Ronnie, Jack, Karl, Luis Jr., and Martin.
