Lupe Baldonado

BALDONADO - Guadalupe “Lupe” Baldonado, 68, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Socorro, NM. Lupe was born on September 17, 1942 in Jarales, NM to Remijio and Avelina (Garcia) Baldonado. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Flor’Ida Baldonado; two sons; seven daughters; three step children; twenty five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven brothers; three sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lupe was a resident of Lemitar, NM for 13 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping to the fullest. Lupe was very talented with his hands; he enjoyed doing stone work and built many fireplaces, block walls, and ponds. Lupe was a perfectionist when it came to his work. He was a plain and simple man but had a strong faith for the Lord and would share it with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the San Miguel Catholic Church. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 11:00 am also at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Anthony Romero as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the Jarales Cemetery in Jarales, NM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers are John Landolt, Donald Pino, Gilbert Romero, Marty Baldonado, Pat Romero, and Martin Baca. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Maestas, Paul Valencia, Robert Morreno, and Renaldo Flores.
