Lupe Samora, 90, of Bloomfield, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in Bloomfield. She was born June 10, 1920, in B;anco, to Rumaldo and Emilia Armenta. The Armentas were one of the first families to settle in Blanco.
Lupe lived in Silverton, CO.for many years, where her husband, Max, was a hard rock miner.
She was a ceramic artist, enjoyed flower gardening, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max I. Samora; sons, Edward, and Jimmy (Jas); daughter, Elizabeth; parents, Rumaldo and Emelia Armenta; and 10 brothers.
She is survived by her son, Gene; daughters, Grace, Virginia, Betty, Maria, Lupe, Helena, and Maxine; sister, Cleo Garcia; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
