Lydia S. Garcia

At age 79, Lydia S. Garcia of Canjilon, NM, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 9, 2018.

Lydia is survived by her sons and daughters; Edward Garcia of Jackson Wyoming, Ernest Garcia and wife Em of Everett, Washington, Timothy P. Garcia of Rio Rancho, Victoria Rusco of San Diego, Monica Armijo and husband Edward of Rio Rancho and Rose Ann Garcia of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by brothers; Juan Serrano of Albuquerque and Sammy Serrano of Utah, sisters; Angie Piper and Jane Martinez of Utah. Lydia was a proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years; Jerry T. Garcia, brother and sister; Teddy Hernandez of Utah and Elaiza Jaramillo of Albuquerque.

The beautiful Lydia Garcia was known to all as very genuine, loving and was dedicated fully to her family. Aside from cooking, embroidery and taking care of her hummingbirds and flowers, Lydia would otherwise be thinking about or doing for, her family. She also loved talking on the phone and watching "The Golden Girls" and "Caso Cerrado"  as well as other Spanish programing. She was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. Lydia was employed with Albuquerque Public Schools for 29 years. 

Please join family and friends Friday April 13th for Viewing, Holy Rosary and Catholic Services  beginning at 9am at Daniels Family Funeral Services 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Graveside interment will take place at Sandia Memory Gardens at 11:0am, with reception following at Daniels Family Funeral Services (Carlisle location -3113 Carlisle Blvd NE) 12pm to 3pm.
