Lydia E. Maldonado

Lydia E. Maldonado, a caring wife, mother and friend, left this world suddenly on September 24, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born March 15, 1939 to Marianna Hernandez and Cruz Andrades in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She worked hard in New York City factories as a hat maker and cleaning offices to put herself through school to be a nurse and masseuse. She met and married her husband Jorge, the love of her life, and together they had 3 children, Raymond, Jorge Jr. and Brenda. Lydia loved spending time in the kitchen and had great passion in her cooking. She always created delicious dishes for her family and friends. She loved to sing, dance and entertain. She was the life of many parties. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos, and watching her novelas and shows on television. She lived an amazing and fulfilled life.

Services will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2903 Cabezon Rd., Rio Rancho, NM on Friday, September 30, 2022, 12:00 p.m.
