Lyndell Delane “L.D.” Morphis, 77 of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011. He was born on July 18, 1933 in Holdenville, OK to Audell and Lela (Stephens) Morphis. L.D. was a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Yorkrite Mason as well as a Shriner. L.D. was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Elks Lodge. He served in the Army Corps Engineers and worked in the construction industries throughout the U.S. L.D. and Georgia met while attending Odessa College in Odessa, Texas. He was blessed with two sons; Clifton Morphis, married to Linda (deceased), and Mark Morphis, married to Cindy. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Erin, Casey, Trenton, Stuart, and CJ. He loved fishing, hunting, collecting antiques and knife making. L.D. provided knives to collectors throughout the U.S. He also shared his talents with aspiring knife makers.
