Lynn K. Cannaday, age 73, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, with his family by his side in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A private memorial service will be held.
He was born on June 21, 1943, in Lubbock, Texas to Troy and Grace Cannaday.
He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1961. He attended college at the Texas Tech University. While at Lubbock High School, he met and married Verna Thomas in 1962.
His interests included family, landscaping, camping and hiking. He devoted much of his time and energy to designing and landscaping the backyard of his home.
Mr. Cannaday is survived by his wife Verna of 54 years; three sons, and their spouses, Alan and Shelly, Gary and Tori, Vance and Alicia; and nine grandchildren, Shalan and husband Michael Zisman; Christopher and Bryana; Ayla and Austin; Danyele, Heather, Destiny and Taylor and three great-grandchildren, Morghan, Madilynn, Troy.
Also survived by his siblings and their spouses, brother, Jim and Carol; sister, Leora and John Meadows; brother, Roy and Jane.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Rickey and Troy.
