Lynn Frye Sherrill

Lynn Frye Sherrill July 3, 1923 - November 12, 2009 Lynn Frye Sherrill, 86, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at her home in Farmington. She was born July 3, 1923, in Jamaica, Long Island, New York, to Robert and Carolyn Frye. Lynn attended Babylon High School on Long Island and graduated from Miami Ohio University with a degree in education. She were employed by the New Castle, Indiana Public Schools for 23 years. Lynn was a strong believer in the principles on which the United States was founded. In 1942 Lynn and Rev. Robert Sherrill were married in Babylon, Long Island, NY and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. In 2006, Lynn moved to Farmington, where she has lived the past three years. Lynn was preceded in death by her spouse, the Rev. Robert Sherrill, son William Sherrill and parents Robert and Carolyn Faye. She is survived by daughters, Kate Sherrill of Orland, ME, and sons, Robert Sherrill, Jr. of Farmington, and Peter Sherrill of Forestville, WI. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her three grandchildren. There will be a private family scattering at a later date.
