M. Sgt. Charles B. Ware (Burt)

WARE- M. Sgt. Charles B. Ware (Burt), 91, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord after a long life on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009. A quiet man, he was always there for his family. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas, January 20, 1918. His family later moved to Roanoke, then to Staunton, Virginia. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in March of 1942. He served his country in World War II fighting in Africa, Italy and Southern France. He did a second tour of duty in the Air Force in Germany from 1955 to 1957. He met his wife Marjorie while stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming and they were married July 23, 1953. She preceded him in death in December 1999. He retired from the U.S. Air Force at Sandia Base after 23 years of service in May of 1965. He then went on to work for the Veterans Administration Medical Center where he retired after 24 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Staunton, Virginia since October 1939. Mr. Ware is survived by his two sons, Charles B. Ware Jr., (Charlie), and wife Dolores and Alan Ware. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; Abraham and his wife, Yvette and Elizabeth Ware; two great grandchildren; Nico and Andrew; three step grandchildren, Jeffery, Nathan and Alexander Ortiz; Alan's brother-in-law Pastor Scott Sloan and wife Susan and their children, Matthew, Myra and Caleb.
