Malcolm E. Schoppe

August 30, 1928 — April 27, 2019

Malcolm E. Schoppe, age 90, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was born in Olympia, WA on August 30, 1928 to Malcolm and Claudia Schoppe. He enlisted in the Army, and over the duration of his military career he participated in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, serving over 26 years before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer.  Malcolm enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with lots of family time.  He was a 33rd Degree Master Mason/Scottish Rite Society.  Malcolm will be missed by many.

Malcolm's children include son, Robbie Schoppe, son, Malcolm Earl Schoppe, daughter-in-law, Patricia Schoppe, daughter, Karen Marie Nelson, son-in-law, William Nelson, son, Michael Holmann, daughter, Sharon K. Swanson; Grandchildren, Kevin Nelson & wife Eileen, Kimberly Wheeler & husband Austin Wheeler, Mike Holmann & wife Krystal Holmann, Daniel Schoppe, Julia Schoppe, James Rae & Katie Rae; Great-Grandchildren, Savanna Nelson, Ryan Nelson, Maxwell Wheeler, Mason Wheeler, Gracie Wheeler, & Jacsen Wheeler; Sister, Pat Sousa of Kent, WA; Step-children, Angie Tomlinson, Tracy Tomlinson, Tom Tomlinson, Renee Rae, & Jeanie Tomlinson; Pets, Ginger-Honey & Mitch (both standard Poodles).

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM.  Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Malcolm's honor to Ronald McDonald House.
