Manuel Francisco Arvizo

Arvizo, Manuel  F.
Age 78, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in San Pedro, NM on June 4, 1936, to  and  Jose M. and Alice Estrada Arvizu. Manuel grew up on his family's ranch and was the oldest of ten children. He worked in the mines in his early years and also worked for the railroad but spent most of his time ranching. Manuel owned and operated his own trucks for over 35 years before retiring.  Manuel enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Gloretta Gurule; and his sons, Daniel and Francisco Arvizo. Manuel  is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia Cooper Arvizo; his children, Elizabeth Romero and husband, John, Larry M. Arvizo, Steve Arvizo, Deborah Rivera and husband, Samuel, Paul Arvizo, Frances Horner and husband, Kenneth, Alberta Chavez and husband, Eddie, Annette Griffin, Ronnie Arvizo, Yolanda Marquez, Alice Chavez, and Manuel "Sonny" Arvizo, Daniel DeLaO and Elvira DeLaO; brothers, Ernest Arvizu and wife, Josie, Enrique Arvizu and wife, Cecilia, Martin Arvizu and wife, Rebekah; sisters, Rita Arvizu, Dora Chavez and husband, Jimmy, Helen Rivera, Rose Truitt and husband, Terry, Jennie Baldonado and husband, Placido, and Eloisa Valdez and husband, Pedro; 35 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Daniels Family Funeral Services Chapel, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.  Interment to follow at the San Pedro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louie Arvizu, Peter Chavez, Junior Weathers, Matthew Arvizo, Martin Aragon, and Joshua Abad. Manuel's care has been entrusted to
