Herrera, Manuel E Age 72, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully at his home, Tuesday, August 27, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on August 23, 1941, to Refina and Marcos Herrera. Manuel was a carpenter by trade; he was a loving and caring neighbor and friend who worked hard all his life. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army; and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Max Herrera; and brother-in-law, Leo Martinez. Manuel is survived by his loving children, Manuel and wife Immaculate and Angela Herrera; his precious grandchildren, Desiree, Marcos, Raymond, Blainey, Victoria, Nathan, Samantha, MaryLynn and Isaac; his great-grandchildren, Leah, Jayden and Josiah. Also surviving are his siblings, Richard and wife Gloria, Concie and Frances; and other numerous relatives and friends. Manuel will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Friday, August 30, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, where the Service of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Casket Bearers will be Raymond, Leoito, Maximo, John, Nathan and Michael. Honorary Bearers will be Gaylan and Adrian. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post # 13.
