On November 26, 2020, Manuel Tenorio (Junior), age 85, departed this earth for his next big historic adventure. He is survived by his wife Evangeline Tenorio, the love of his life, his son, daughters and their extended families. Manuel is also survived by his siblings, spouses, and many other family and friends. Manuel joined the United States Military during the Korean War, and subsequently spent his professional career as an Adjunct Professor in California at several Ivy League schools.
Manuel is enjoying his first cup of coffee in Heaven with his parents, Amalia and Manuel Tenorio, Sr., his siblings Tom Tenorio, Fita and Ernest Garcia, Nena and Eddie Maes, brother-in-law Bernie Mirabal, and sister-in-law Patsy Tenorio, before heading off to meet our Heavenly Father. Manuel/Junior had a love of travel, learning the history of many cultures and the evolution of families, his own and others. Several of his favorite quotes were “History will be kind to me for I intend to write it”, “History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again” and “History, to be above evasion or dispute, must stand on documents, not on opinions”. A final conversation with Manuel before he was called to serve the Lord God, is that he wanted his wife Evangeline to know that he loved her very much and that he has been thinking about his son Steve and especially his “Big Bro” Richard. He said that he loved all his family.
FINAL NOTE: Uncle, to the world and family you may be just a teacher/relative but to me your student/nephew you are my “HERO”. Love you forever and ever – have a cold one for me. David
Per Manuel’s request No Services will be held. However, prayers for the family are greatly appreciated.
