Manuelita Z Sedillo

Sedillo, Manuelita Z. 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tokay, NM on February 1, 1923 to Domingo and Rafaelita (Gomez) Zamora. Manuelita was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo. Manuelita was very strong in her faith and was a loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Sedillo; her children, William "Billy", Abrelia, Frank Jr., and Ruben; her parents and her siblings, Maria, Sofia, Marcia, Tomas, Frank, Benita, Olvera, Luis, and Doniacio "Lonnie". Manuelita is survived by her devoted children, Rose Lysen; Joe Sedillo; and Lora Garza and husband, Ramiro; many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; her sister in law, Mary Zamora; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church,403 El Camino Real, Socorro followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 9:00am with Father Flavio Santillanes as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ramiro Garza Jr., Robby "Bobby" Montgomery, Benjamin Wilkins, Manuel Chavez, Hector Gutierrez, and Michael Zamora.
