Marcel L. Garcia

Garcia, Marcel L. Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 55 years, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. Marcel served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was involved in numerous major battles. He retired from Kirtland Air Force Base as a Master Mechanic Inspector and was a proud member of the VFW 401. He helped in the construction of the building of San Martin Church in Westgate Heights and a college student in the study of the Theology of the Holy Scriptures. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avenicio and Josefita Garcia and daughter, Dora Garcia. Marcel is survived by wife, Margaret Garcia; children, Katherine Barela and husband, Joseph, Marcel L. Garcia Jr., Johnny Garcia and wife, Jennifer, Sandra Garcia and fianc� Ryan Price; four grandchildren, David, Melissa, Jacqueline, and Marcel III; five great grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister Mary Garcia and many nephews and nieces.
