Marcella Ownes

Owens, Marcella "Marcie" 88, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at home. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2pm to 4 pm, Saturday, July 19 at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church. Mrs. Owens was a housewife, mother and devoted church servant of Our Lord. Survivors include her daughters, Maralyn Hovey and Faye Whittington, both of Albuquerque; one grandson, Robert Kaehr of Albuquerque; one great-grandson, Evan Russel-Kaehr of Albuquerque; and one first cousin, Ronald Zee of Friday Harbor. Marcie Owens gave more than half of her life to serving Our Lord and her church. First by serving at Saint Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church of Albuquerque for more than twenty years. She then went on to be instrumental in the founding of Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church of Albuquerque, serving there until she no longer was able.
