Margaret Navarrette Higgins
November 17, 1958 - May 14, 2016
Margaret took her last breath on earth and her first one in Heaven, on Saturday, May 14th, 2016, after complications from pneumonia.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susana Navarrette. She is survived by her father, Robert Navarrette, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM and her loving husband and soul mate, Craig Higgins of Rio Rancho, NM.
Her surviving siblings are Elizabeth Lopez and Robert Navarrette, Jr., both of Carlsbad, Freddy Navarrette and Reuben Navarrette of Phoenix, AZ and Ronnie Navarrette of Rio Rancho, NM.
She is also survived by her children of whom she was so very proud...Francesca Ann Sanchez, of Carlsbad, NM and George Ray Sanchez Jr. and his wife Valerie of Los Lunas, NM. Her grandchildren, all of whom she cherished are, Michael Ray Muñoz of Ballston Spa, NY, George Muñoz and Harley Muñoz of Carlsbad, NM, Patrick Engstrom and wife Marissa of Albuquerque, Monique Sanchez and Angelina Sanchez of Los Lunas. Her step children are Matthew Higgins, Keith Higgins, and Laura Laskar. She has a step-granddaughter, Maya Higgins.
Margaret's love for her family was something that never went unnoticed by anyone. When she walked into a room she was the center of attention and her love and laughter was spilled out generously for all to enjoy. Margaret would want others to be certain of their final destination. Her love for God was something she was never quiet about. May we all live that kind of life to be His testimony.
Services will be Monday, May 23rd, at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd NE, at 10:00 am, with a funeral procession to Santa Fe, NM for her final resting place at the National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. If you are unable to join us in presence, please join us in prayer.
