Margaret Louise Kercher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on July 27, 2024 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born on August 6, 1934, in Granite City, Illinois.
Margaret's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of faith, love, and joy. She graduated from Granite City High School in Illinois and went on to lead a life filled with passion for her community and family. Margaret was a dedicated member of the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church and actively participated in the Faith Church Quilting Ministry. Her love for square dancing brought laughter and happiness to those around her, while her talents in baking, sewing, and gardening added warmth and beauty to her home.
For fifty-four years, Margaret was married to her beloved husband, Delbert Duane Kercher. Together they nurtured a family built on love and respect. Margaret is survived by her children: Debra (Brad) Wilson, Peggy (Ken) Carpenter, Chuck (Donna) Kercher, Todd (Melanie) Kercher, and her brothers: John "Jack" Haug and Charles Haug as well as her eleven adoring grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Vivian Haug, husband: Delbert Kercher and brothers: Carl Haug and Bob Haug.
In this time of mourning, we remember Margaret not only for the love she shared with her family but also for the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched with her warmth and grace.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Margaret Louise Kercher on August 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at 205 Wyoming Autumn Rd., Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This celebration will be an opportunity for all who knew and loved Margaret to come together to share memories and celebrate a life well-lived.
Margaret's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her best, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly through all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
