Margaret H. Mahoney

MAHONEY- Margaret Helen Mahoney, passed away on May 5, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 15, 1930. After high school she moved to Beverly Hills California and there she met William (Bill) Mahoney who was stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. They were married in New York City in June 1952. They lived in upstate New York until 1972, when they moved with their five children to Santa Fe. Margaret remained a resident of Santa Fe for many years and during that time worked at the New Mexico School for the Deaf as a dormitory counselor. Three years after Bill’s passing in April 2002, Margaret moved to Rio Rancho to live with her eldest daughter and son-in-law. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Lupinsky; brother, Albert Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Ann Gutierrez and Martin Gutierrez; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Jean Haley and Sidney Haley; daughter, Norma Lee Mahoney; daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa Marie Theorine and Lawrence Theorine; grandchildren, Guillermo Gutierrez, William Haley and his wife Jessica, Laura Jo Haley, Daniel Haley, Lief Theorine, Valana Theorine; great-grandchildren, Brinley Haley, Austin Haley, Cody Lane Haley, Rychard Haley,Jacob Haley and other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, John Christopher Mahoney; grandchild, Cody W. Haley. Services will held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM.
