Margaret Martinez

Martinez, Margaret 94 years old, went to her eternal home in heaven on March 27, 2014 at 6:03 a.m. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Tucson, AZ. Margaret was born on September 19, 1919 in Dyke, CO. She was the daughter of Aurora and Toribio Romero who preceded her in death. She married Rosenaldo Martinez in 1945 with whom she had six children. Margaret was an elementary school teacher for 35 years. Rosenaldo preceded her in death as did her children, Edmund Martinez and Ella Martinez. Margaret had seven siblings and was preceded in death by Andreita Romero, John Romero, Antonia Gallegos and Patricio Romero. She is survived by her siblings, Elsie Manzanares, Theodora Salazar and Alfonso Romero; her children, Connie (Gerald) Stutz, Stella (Lee) Vigil, Bertha Lopez (Dale Lucero) and Ross Martinez and her grandchildren, Monica Rhodes, Daniel Vigil, Shelli Vigil, Tina Martinez, Tanya Martinez, Daniel Stutz, Suzanne Stutz-Hawke, Eric Baros and Jennifer Baros. Margaret had nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held from 6 o'clock to 7 o'clock pm on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock pm on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 o'clock am on April 8, 2014 at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Her final resting place will be with her mother and son at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM. Margaret will certainly be most remembered for her strong faith and passionate love of her Lord Jesus.
