It is with deep sadness that the Gonzales Family announce the passing of our mother Maria Concepcion (Concha) Gonzales. Their momma gained her wings on the morning of 6/17/2024.
She was a great loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Anyone who knew our mom spoke fondly of her, she touched many hearts with her kindness and could make anyone cheerfully smile with her humor. This special momma could light up a room with her presence.
Her hobbies included spending loving time with her dog (precious). The little dog that saved her life as the family once witnessed. She liked going for drives around Socorro, eating at Lota burger, watching the traffic go by where she lived, listening and observing the birds outside her living room window as she watched her favorite programs on TV. She enjoyed going to casino and spending quality time with her children. "Oh" the smiles she gave us all, priceless!!
Maria was 92 years of age and born in Magdalena, New Mexico, on 4/12/1932. She spent many years of her life living in las Cruces, NM but also traveled through-out the state of NM with her Companion Rogelio Gonzales and their children. She later moved to Socorro, NM approximately 30 years ago and resided here making this her permanent home.
Maria is preceded in death by her Parents Monico & Mercedes Anaya, husband Avelino Gonzales Sr of many years, then later companion Rogelio Gonzales, Son Georgie Gonzales, Daughters Molly Gonzales, Connie Duran & Beverly Gonzales. Grandson Kenneth Silva, great grandson Steven Michael Xavier Silva and Granddaughters Amy O'Donald and Tammy Dry Gonzales.
Maria is survived by daughters, Angie O'Donald (Byron), Charlene Martinez & Veronica Gonzales. Sons, Avelino Gonzales Jr (Martha), Daniel Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales (Lori), Sammy Gonzales (Brittany), Robert Gonzales (Kristen), Roy Gonzales (Stephanie), Joesph Gonzales (Trish), & Tim Gonzales (Lilly). She leaves behind 42 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.
The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of our mother, shall never pass away.
