Maria Idolina Lake

Maria Idolina (Nina) Lake, 92, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, March 08, 2023. Maria was born on January 23, 1931 in Falfurrias, Texas to Porfirio and Isabel Morales.

Maria got married to Oliver W. Lake in May 08, 1963, in Amarillo, Texas. They were married for 17 years. She attended Cosmetology School and worked at the Sandia Lab for 16 ½ years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Porfirio and Isabel Morales, husband, Oliver W. Lake, sister, Dora M. Castillo, and brother, Alejandro Morales. Maria is survived by her sister: Gregoria M. Diaz of Amarillo, Texas; sister: Isabel Morales of Canyon, Texas; and sister: Esmeralda Valtierra of El Paso, Texas, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Maria was a member of Officers Club and a church member of St. Therese of Infant Jesus Catholic Church. On her free time Maria enjoyed going bowling, playing bingo and gambling in the casino.

Her presence will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 4pm, followed by a Rosary at 5pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services. 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, 87110

A Mass will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 9am, at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church. 3434 4th St NW, 87107
