Maria Adella Estefanita Romero, aka Della, age 71, passed away on September 04, 2017 in Rio Rancho, NM. Della was born on November 16, 1945 in Sapello, NM, to Alberto Romero and Onofre Trujillo-Romero. Maria attended West Las Vegas public schools. She enjoyed coloring, playing cards, singing, dancing, and giving hugs and kisses. Della cherished anytime she had with her family and loved surrounding herself with them. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Las Vegas, NM.
Della was preceded in death by both of her parents Alberto Romero and Onofre Trujillo-Romero; her brothers Gregorio and Damian Trujillo; and brother-in-law Felix Rael.
She is survived by her sisters Margie Baca (Manuel) and Lupe Rael of Las Vegas, NM; Delfie Sanchez of Albuquerque NM; Mary “Timia” Gallegos (Mark); her brother Albert Romero (Erlinda); sister-in-law’s Elsie and Rosita Trujillo All from Cheyenne, Wyoming; also Manuel Baca, Edward Baca, Adrian Baca, LouElla Romero (Mario), Melvin Rael (Bernadette), Alvin Rael (Rachel) and many other nieces and nephews who loved Della dearly.
The family would like to thank Margie and Manuel Baca who, without their love and compassion, Della wouldn’t have been able to live such a long fulfilling life. Mr. and Mrs. Baca cared for Della for 34 years.
Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017; Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM; Burial to follow at Sapello Cemetery; and reception to be held at 1:30 pm at the Baca family home.
