Salazar, Maria Deloypa "Della"
Age 99, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at her home in Socorro with her loving family at her side. She was born in Casa Colorada, NM on October 2, 1915, to Samuel and Francisca Olguin Sais. Della attended school in Belen, NM and graduated from Belen High School in the late 30's. She moved to Socorro after high school and worked at the Val Verde Hotel as a desk clerk and phone operator, retiring after 30 years of service. Della's home was always open to anyone who stopped by and they were always fed before they left. She was a very good cook and had a green thumb.  She could make anything grow. Della was very devoted to her family and strong in her faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Della will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Salazar; son, Richard Salazar; sisters, Soila Romero, Carolina Pena and Felicita Vigil; and her parents. Della is survived by her son, Rudy Salazar; daughter, Natti Gonzales and husband, Connie; brother, Sam Sais and wife, Gladys; sister, Carlota Gonzales and husband, Ambrosio; grandchildren: Joseph Gonzales and wife Jenny, Robert Salazar, Felicia Gonzales, Roslynn Salazar, Victor Savedra and wife, Annie, Richard Salazar, Erik Salazar, Patricia Salazar, Rudi McMillan and husband, Sam, Rebeca Reynolds and husband, Jeff; great-grandchildren: Joshua Gonzales, Antonio Ulibarri, Rhiannon Salazar, Devon Gonzales,  R J Salazar, Aurelia  Reynolds, Surprize Mallin,  Jazmin Mallin, Joe Anthony Salazar, Christian Savedra, Josie Savedra and Jacob Savedra . Rosary to be recited on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 17, 2014, at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro .  Celebrant Father Andrew Pavlak.  Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery  following service. Pallbearers will be Joseph Gonzales, Robert Salazar, Victor Savedra, Erik Salazar, Joshua Gonzales, Antonio Ulibarri.  Honorary pallbearers are Richard Salazar, Rudi McMillan, Rebeca Reynolds, R J Salazar.  Della's care has been entrusted to
