Age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at home in Socorro, NM with her loving family at her side. She was born December 3, 1928 to Ambrosio Turrietta and Isabel (Enriques) Chavez in Magdalena, NM. Mariana enjoyed singing and dancing and she loved to joke with people. She enjoyed cooking and no one ever left her home hungry. Mariana lived life to the fullest and was very devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 43 years, Jose L. Salas; Daughters, Rosemary (Salas) Gallegos and Lydia Salas; Sisters, Rafela Ware, Mary Naranjo, Gertrude Silva and Dora Martinez; Brothers, Florencio Turrietta, Cleto Turrietta, Manuel Turrietta, Vicente Turrietta, Jose Turrietta, Filimon Padilla, Pilar Padilla and Stevan Padilla. Mariana is survived by daughters, Jeanette Salas, Rebecca Salas, Isabel (Gilbert) Gonzales and Margaret Salas; Sons, Eusebio Turrietta Salas and Ramon (Rosa) Salas; brother, George (Sarah) Padilla 20 grandchildren, 29 great grand children and 22 great great grandchildren and many other countless relatives including many nieces, nephews and many friends. A Visitation will take place on Monday February 22, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services Chapel, 309 Garfield Street, Socorro. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday February 23, 2015 at 10:00 am at San Miguel Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro with Mass of Resurrection to follow at10:30 am with Father John Anasiudu as Celebrant . Burial will take place at the Magdalena Community Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Eusebio Turrietta Salas, Gilbert Montano, Lorenzo Gallegos Jr, Michael Salas, Zee Hobbs and Leroy Gallegos . Honorary pallbearers are Mariana's grandsons and nephews.
