Marie M. Boyd, 85, of Farmington, died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, in Farmington. She was born on Nov. 15, 1925, to James and Montie Turner in Raines County, Texas.
Marie was a minister for the Assembly of God for more than 50 years. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed working with her flowers in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ross Turner and Loyd Turner; and grandfather, Jim Russell.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. W.L. "Bill" Boyd; son, Loyd (Liz) Mack Boyd; brother, Giles Turner of Fritch, Texas; sister, Mary Stewart of Auburn, Wash.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Vistitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church, 805 Saguaro Trail. Pastor Dewayne Bardwell will officiate.
Following the services, interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. A reception will be held after the burial at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church.
