Marie Emilia DeTevis

Marie Emilia DeTevis was born into a large and loving family on April 5, 1932 in Las Vegas, NM and passed away on December 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio Joseph DeTevis, Sr. and Emilia Alires DeTevis plus several brothers and sisters. Marie is survived by 3 children: David Montoya (Sue) of Albuquerque, NM,  James Montoya also of Albuquerque, NM  and daughter Stella Marie Mason of Las Vegas, NM, 10 grand children and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jane DeTevis of Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie attended schools in Las Vegas, NM as well as Durango, Colorado, where she lived for several years and raised her children there. She worked at the First Methodist Church in Las Vega, NM since February 1980 as an Administrative Secretary until she retired in July of 2012 when she moved to Albuquerque at the urging of her two sons. Marie had a passion for her faith, reading, sewing and the computer as well. Cremation has already taken place.
