Marie Galhouse

Marie spent most of her life in Tucson, AZ but moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2008. At age 90 Marie left this world as we know it.
Marie was born in California.  She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne and husband, Dan and their children, Chris and Amy; son, Stephen and wife, Ursula and their children, Jessica and Krista; daughter, Mary and husband, Kevin and their children, Jason and Anna; son, Thomas and wife, Marina, and their children, Michael, Joseph, and Theresa; and daughter, Donna . Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy and brothers, Anthony and Cyril.
Marie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Arizona State University. Marie and Leroy were married in Tucson, AZ. She was a grade school teacher at St. Joseph’s School and later at St. Ambrose’s School, both in Tucson, AZ.  Marie enjoyed her family, teaching, sewing, cooking, and camping. She was dedicated to her Catholic Faith and a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish in Tucson for many years. Marie spent much time raising her five children and has enjoyed knowing each of her nine grandchildren along with her five great grandchildren.  
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 2, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Saint Joseph’s Church located at 215 S. Craycroft Rd, Tucson, AZ. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Marie’s name to Catholic Charities of Central New Mexico – Donate to Help End Poverty. Please note when making donation that it is memory  of Marie Galhouse.
