Marie Irene Marino, age 74, passed away at Presbyterian Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 8, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends.
Born on, May 2, 1941 in Santa Fe, NM she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Jerry Lopez.  On July 29, 1979 in El Segundo, California she married Daniel Marino who survives.
Marie was a 1959 graduate of Loretto Academy.  She was the 1961 Santa Fe Fiesta Queen.  She was a member of the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church and many prayer groups.  Marie retired from Immigration and Naturalization Service, El Segundo, CA in 2000, where she worked for over 25 years and relocated to Albuquerque, NM with her husband.  She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving along with her husband, is her daughter, Lisa McNiel; step daughters, Margaret Kepler and husband Kenneth, Nadine Steidley and husband David; granddaughter, Danielle Martinez; pet, Dante and many cousins. Marie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.
A Rosary will be recited Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, followed by the Mass at 11:00 a.m. A private Interment will be at a later date.
