Marie Joan Renk

Marie Joan Renk, “Joanie” went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 14, 1951 in “Old Town” Albuquerque, New Mexico and was the baby of a family of 16 children.

Joanie graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1969. Throughout her life Joanie provided aid as a caregiver, nurturer, best friend, sister, and aunt. Joanie is preceded in death by her father and mother Luis and Amelia Moya, as well as her siblings and loved ones. She is survived by her three sisters; Rosemary, Emma, and Elena Loretta, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. 

There will be a visitation Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services- Strong Thorne at 1100 Coal Ave.  Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10 AM at San Felipe de Neri Parish in Old Town. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
