Marily Griffin was born in Berkeley, California to Harold Emerson Wilson and Barbara Britton. She grew up in Burbank, CA.
She met and married Ralph Edward Griffin in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 7, 1981.
She earned her nursing degree from Regents College in New York through UNM Hospital. She worked for many years in Labor and Delivery at UNM Hospital. Marily also worked as a home care nurse for Presbyterian Hospital where she specialized in wound care and pain management. She also spent time as a hospice nurse for Presbyterian. After Presbyterian she worked at Oncology Associates. Finally, at CNM, she taught nursing students how to take their boards.
Marily is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Katie, and sons, Stephen, Michael, and David (Lela) Griffin; three grandchildren, Ian Griffin, Austin Steinbeisser, and Lydia Rolyne Griffin; her brother, Allen Meyer and sister, Judy Porter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12701 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Bishop Chad Hjorth officiating. All who wish to attend are invited.
After the memorial Marily will be laid to rest in a private family service at Sandia Memorial Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE.
