Marilyn Irene Grose, 87 of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away May 30th, 2016….Born November 29th, 1928. The daughter of Willis and Josesphine Gerken of Highland Park Illinois. She moved to Rio Rancho from Des Plaines Illinois in 1977. Marilyn spent many years as a secretary for the Air Force Association. She retired in Rio Rancho from JC Penny as a customer service rep at the Call Center. She and husband Bob were members of the American Legion Post 118 for many years….She was very patriotic and a very giving person. Marilyn was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend…very independent!!! Loved life, Friends and Family. She will surely be missed by her many friends and family… she would spend hours on the phone keeping in touch with friends across the county as well as those close by here in New Mexico. Marilyn is survived by her Son, Larry B. Grose and his family in Roselle Illinois, her Daughter, Cheryl M Stokes and family of Rio Rancho NM, her Sister Sandy Vanderhoek and family of Munster Indiana, and Sister Wilma Tillinghast of Vernon Hills Illinois.
