Marion Berrett

Berrett, Marion W. Age 91, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013. She was born in Boston, MA on March 13, 1922, to James and Lina MacFarlane. She was preceded in death by her father, James MacFarlane; mother, Lina MacFarlane; siblings, Elaine Lee and James MacFarlane and spouse, Malcolm Berrett. Marion is survived by daughter, Linda (Charles) Rogers of Albuquerque, NM; son, Donald M. (Sarawyn) Berrett of Portsmouth, RI; grandchildren, Lynnette Rogers, Mark Rogers, Cindy Rogers Elliser and Debra Berrett Legassie. Great-grandchildren, Robbie Gutierrez; Dylan Gutierrez; Justice Gutierrez; Laurelynne Gutierrez-Rogers; Josephine Rogers; Benjamin MacFarlane Elliser and Juliet Rogers. Marion was married for 57 years until her husbands death in 1999. Marion was a legal secretary and also enjoyed being a correspondent for the La Vida Llena newsletter; as well as a participant in the Southwest Canine Corps of Volunteers. In RI she volunteered at Forest Farm Nursing Home, doing "Sing-a-Longs"" and Meals on Wheels; also sang in the Swanhurst Choral Society and the St. Mary's Church Choir. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013, at La Vida Llena Retirement Community at 2:30 p.m. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interment will take place in Rhode Island, Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at St. Mary's Church in Portsmouth, at 1 p.m..
