Marjorie Ellen Andrew Foster, 79, went peacefully to sleep Sunday, July 31, 2011 with her family by her side. Waiting for the day that the trumpet will sound and she will rise to meet Jesus. Marjorie was born February 29, 1932 in Soda Springs, Idaho the daughter of John Oscar Grimes and Margaret (Dennerlein) Grimes. She leaves behind her husband Sam Foster her children, daughter Denise Rowe and Marcos Marquez, son Sam (Liz) Andrew, daughter Ellen "Bambi (Garry) Owens, daughter Danella "DJ Scully and Steve Lucero, 13 grandchildren Antionette 'Ton'i Oehme, Rebecca Billey, Travis Rowe, Weston Rowe, Natalie Hubbard, Michelle Kennedy, Sammy Andrew, Kristi Gutierrez, Ellen 'Annette' Brower, Brian Owens, Mark Scully, Jennifer Aylett and Daniel I. Scully; as well as their respective best friends, and spouses. Marjorie had 20 great-grandchildren. As well as one great-grandchild who is yet, unborn. Marjorie��?�s brothers John Oscar Grimes of Toledo, Washington and Donald Grimes of Kelso, Washington. She is also survived by her step-children, Norman, Lester, Bonnie, and Sharon; as well as their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Sam Fosters��?� side of the family. She was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church ion December 27, 1957. Marjorie loved her church and all of her church family; as well as her prayer partner, Shirley Stewart. She was an avid gardener, loved growing her own flowers and canning. She loved farm animals, raised chickens, birds and various farms animals too including her llama ��?Scooter��?�, her cat ��?Tippy��?� and her dog ��?Princess��?�. She was instrumental in laying the groundwork for affordable health care in San Juan County in the late 70��?�s. Marjorie wrote the original grant for a program called ��?Family Planning��?� that brought basic health care to low income families. She will be greatly missed. Visitation for Marjorie will be Wednesday, August 3 from 5:00 ��?? 7:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington Funeral services will be Thursday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pinon Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church, 5001 N. Foothills Drive in Farmington with Pastor Blake Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark Scully, Danny Scully, Sammy Andrew, Travis Rowe, Weston Rowe, and Derek Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Owens, Scott Brower and Steven Kennedy.
