Mark Steven Brown

Mark Steven Brown, 52, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Mark was born April 17, 1959, in Farmington , N.M. and was a lifelong resident. Mark worked for Dugan Production as a Drilling Superintendent for 29 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington, graduated from Farmington High School , and attended the University of New Mexico . He loved golfing, fishing and traveling. Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Navajo Lake. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Hale Brown, of 24 years. Mark is survived by his father, Earl S. Brown; his sister, Shayleen Brown Mitchell, and brother-in-law Rusty Mitchell; brother, Tim Brown and sister-in-law Jody; his nephews, Steven Brown, Chad Mitchell, Rusty Mitchell, Jr., and Patrick Hale, Jr.; his nieces, Jennifer Peffer, Nikki Mitchell, Jacqueline Almquist and Jenna Barnes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maurine Baize Brown; paternal grandparents, Tom and Fannie Brown; and, maternal grandmother, Bessie Radke Krebs. Visitation is at the Brewer Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., from 6 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 20. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 21, at the First Baptist Church of Farmington at 511 W. Arrington. Rev. Keith Berryman will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Rozzell, Mark McPherson, Bill Williamson, Tim Brown, Rusty Mitchell, Rusty Mitchell, Jr., Chad Mitchell, Pat Hale, Patrick Hale, Jr., Phil Farrell, Greer Almquist and Kyle Kreie. Memorial contributions may be made to the San Juan College Foundation, 4601 College Boulevard, Farmington , New Mexico 87402. Please indicate Mark Brown in the memo line as the family is establishing an endowed scholarship in his name to benefit the School of Energy.
